Please be patient with me!

My days — like yours — are filled to the brim. Grace is a sweet baby, but has, shall we say, “napping issues.” As in, she doesn’t do it well.

At all.

Unless I hold her.
Or one of the other kids graciously volunteers (which they do!) to hold her.

She doesn’t go to sleep in the evenings until around 10:30 or so.

That means my free time — to Christmas shop, blog, plan homeschooling for the week, etc. — doesn’t start until then.

I am now sitting in front of this computer screen at 1:30 AM.

Needless to say, certain things will have to fall by the wayside for now, and blogging will be light until I can finish up my Christmas shopping. (thank GOD for on-line shopping! Otherwise, my family would receive whatever I could buy at the grocery store… sad. So sad.)

  1. Hm… I don’t know ANY babies like that! 🙂

Madeleine wasn’t a good napper until about a month ago. Now she takes two good naps and goes to bed at 7:30!

  2. Bless you! We’ve had wakeful babies and it does make for a challenge! Little Gracie just doesn’t want to miss anything! Before you know it, she’ll be climbing the Christmas tree, then another blink and she’ll be you’re chief-tree-decorating-genius! &:o) These wakeful ones are usu the movers, shakers and world changers.

  3. I’ve been wearing her, carrying her, and doing a lot of sitting on the couch nursing her. Lots of bonding time, to be sure, but not a lot of time to do much of anything else!

I have to keep repeating: this phase is short… this phase is short…
