Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had a special place in my heart for women who dedicate their lives to God like these women have. In fact, my Dad once thought I was headed in that direction.
Thankfully, the Lord had a different vocation planned for me (and I know at least eight other people who are also glad…)
Still, I love to check out their various blog sites. The Anchoress has a great posting on some of the exciting happenings going on in convents around the country. The 10 minute video by the CBC on the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist is well worth watching!

I love nuns too! In college my friends and I used to do “nun runs” – we’d just go visit our nun friends at different convents 😉 I’ll have to make sure Madeleine gets into that tradition. I love the Nashville Dominicans at our school.
And by the way, I don’t have any ab muscles anymore that I can see – I just fit into my jeans. That is good enough right now though!
Aren’t they lovely?! I considered a vocation to a cloistered order in my early teens. They were the most reverent, beautiful women who adored Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament perpetually.
I, too am pleased with the choice I made!
